DON'T FEAR THE RIPPER!

Everything is set for the Ripper tomorrow, we are putting the last touches on the courses today, they'll differ very slightly from the one posted above due the snow and avalanche hazards we have encountered during set up. The Race will now be approximately 1550 vertical meters climb and the rec about 800m vert.
The weather is forecast to clear for Saturday and it looks like it should be pretty damn good...in fact the weekend looks like a cracker!
We know how important this is for getting out and enjoying Ruapehu...so make the most of this wicked looking weekend and do the Ripper on Saturday and come Sunday a relaxing free ski or go on a back country ski tour with your new found friends on the glory that is Mt Ruapehu!
IMPORTANT STUFF.
You can register and suss out all the details on the Friday evening before the race from 7pm to 8pm at Margaritas, Rimu street, The Junction, Ohakune.
On the day you can register in the Alpine Cafe from 8am to 9am. The briefing is at 9:15 and the race should kick off about 10am (weather and snow conditions dependant)
It's $20 to enter plus $41.50 (50% discount) for an all mountain lift ticket if you don't have a season pass.
Please get in touch if you want to enter but don't have avalanche rescue equipment. A limited number of sets are available to hire on the day for $10.
And one more thing, don't forget the delicious curry and drink specials to follow at the prize giving, at the Hot Lava, next door to Margareta's, in the Junction. Ohakune.
